My career in Tourism business started almost 22 years ago when I was still living in Europe in Romania. I followed the footsteps of my father who worked in this business for more than 30 years.
Regardless that my education degree is in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, my passion for Tourism industry made me changed my career and after a few years of office work, I decided to join Celebrity Cruises and work on board of several ships, one of them being at that time the largest in the world. I had the privilege to join in just before was finished to be launched at sea, lucky enough to be on board on the first sea lunch test.
Life on board gave me a lot of understanding about cruise lines operations, cruising benefits and mostly about the beautiful places that you can visit in a short time and as well the amazing and unequal sky views of the stars during the night in Caribbean.
In Canada, I managed to create the first Romanian independent travel agency in British Columbia, Amigos Travel Corp. a dedicated company to serve in innovative ways the clients of any kind, professionally and correctly, but bringing a lot’s of fun in any one’s life, or just saying simple, putting a smile on their face.
Thanks to my engineering background, during the years, through my tenacious, detailed, positive and effective way, I successfully created and I am leading an organization of almost 15 independent travel agents.
Success never comes easy and is mostly only through hard work, of which I was never afraid to do it, so I spent a large number of hours studying and gaining extensive knowledge about Travel Planning, Wedding & Honeymoon Destinations, Cruises, All Inclusive Resorts, Hotels, Car Rentals and never the less about flights all over the world. Attending webinars, trade shows, conferences or just getting various accreditations and certificates are all part of my regular life, in order to stay updated with the technology and the constant progress in the Tourism industry. One thing is to read about various destinations and another thing is to see them in reality. That is way having the privilege to travel extensively through my work and mostly by desire, I had the chance to experience various cultures from all around the world, visiting various countries, islands, mountain and sea resorts, villages, cities, with their amazing streets, monuments, museums and mostly encountering various people of different genders, culture and languages.
Experiencing all kinds of travel that includes, besides sightseeing, adventure like snorkeling, hiking, horse riding, cliff jumping, ATVS, helicopter rides over volcano and many more, because otherwise life would be boring and with no fun.
